You can use an attack skill in DR's spot to hit any foe, any time, and you control it. You can only use Deadly Riposte against melee, and only if they target you, and they control your skillbar. I like to use my skill bar to control the battle(ie: kill stuff), thanks.

But it does a lot of direct damage and cause bleeding. And they don't really control it because they have no choice but to hit you.
